Installing a fall-protection system is not the end of our work—it is the beginning of an ongoing safety partnership. Fallproof supports every stage of fall protection, including design, installation, training, inspections, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Our goal is to provide a complete solution that helps protect your workers long after installation is complete.

Prepare Workers to Use the System Safely

Guardrails may be intuitive, but most fall-protection systems require training for safe and effective use. Fallproof provides on-site instruction tailored to the system installed and the workers who will use it.

Training options include:

  • Proper harness use and fit
  • Connecting to approved anchorage with self-retracting lifelines (SRLs) or other devices
  • System-specific operating procedures
  • Competent Person Training
  • Confined Space Rescue
  • Ladder Climbing Courses

Equip Workers with the Right PPE

A new system may require workers to use different PPE—or to use fall protection for the first time. Fallproof can recommend and supply equipment suited to the system, task, and work environment.

Our personalized support can help determine:

  • The appropriate SRL material and length
  • Harness features, including additional D-rings
  • Whether fire-resistant materials are needed
  • Proper harness sizing and fit
  • Whether workers need hands-on instruction

Consultations are available through photographs or an on-site visit. We can also size and fit your staff while demonstrating safe harness use.

Maintain System Safety Through Regular Inspections

Even when workers are trained and properly equipped, the system itself requires continued attention. Falls, accidents, severe weather, visible damage, and normal aging can affect its structure and safety.

Most systems should be inspected at least once each year, regardless of how often they are used. An additional inspection should be performed after any fall or whenever damage is visible.

Because a thorough inspection can be complex, it should be completed by qualified professionals. Fallproof’s dedicated inspections team evaluates the system, documents its condition, helps protect workers, and can reduce the employer’s exposure to liability.

Inspect PPE Along with the System

Harnesses, personal SRLs, and other PPE also require routine inspection. Workers should complete a pre-use check, and a competent person should inspect the equipment at least annually and whenever damage is found.

Key signs that equipment may need to be removed from service include:

  • Cuts, wear, deformation, or other visible damage
  • A deployed fall indicator, such as an exposed tag, extra material, or colored marking
  • Any condition that raises doubt about safe performance

If a fall indicator is visible, the unit must be replaced. Because PPE is generally faster and less costly to replace than an installed system, replacement is often the safest response to damage. Fallproof can inspect PPE on-site and provide an easy-to-read record showing which items passed or failed.
