During the design phase of a fall protection system, why is worker weight a critical component?

January 20, 2016, 10:22 am | Question from Mason | Category: Fall Protection Systems

Calculating worker weight during design and engineering of fall protection equipment.Worker weight is important on both sides of the scale when designing a fall protection system, because all equipment is designed and tested for both a minimum and a maximum weight.

All calculations are derived based on both, from harnesses to the system itself. Going outside the parameters of these weight limits can potentially cause serious injury.
